(August 9) The Charlotte Literary Festival will be returning for a third time and they
are not holding any reservations.
The highly-anticipated event will allow local book-lovers to meet and greet their
favorite authors in various genres and are encouraged to participate in educational
seminars and enjoy live entertainment, all sponsored by companies and
organizations including Best Buy, Family Dollar and UNC-Charlotte.
Darren "Jaz" Vincent, event organizer and owner of RealEyes Bookstore states that
the event will be going in a new direction and expecting at least 10,000 people to
attend this year.
According to the official website, the Charlotte Literary Festival's mission is "to
foster an atmosphere of unity, awareness and growth, through literature, art and
culture."
Celebrity guests include:
- Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith & his wife, Rickie Beckwith ("The Secret")
- Susan Taylor ("Essence Magazine," author, motivator)
- Terrie Williams (author/speaker)
- Susan Jeffers ("Feel the Fear," author/speaker)
- Karrine Steffans (Speaker, motivator, video vixen)
- Terry Brooks (Sci-Fi NY Times best selling author)

Charlotte Convention Center.
