BASMATIE LITTLES:
KARMA LOVES THE KIDZ

Creator of the next hottest children's clothing
line speaks with BSL about her inspiration
and the message she wants to deliver
(June 8) Only a few months old, Karma Kidz is already becoming one of the fastest growing
children's clothing lines on the market.

The creative spirit behind
Karma Kidz is Basmatie Littles, a full-time Administrative Assistant
by day and busy sistapreneur by night. As a mother of one, Littles understands the importance
of fulfilling  a child's need of being clothed in nice yet affordable garments. Karma Kidz
services that need.

Not only does Littles' company offer onesies for babies and shirts for the busy toddler, Karma
Kidz also includes stationery sets, room decor, something for mommy and soon, a bath and
body line. Ready to take her business to the next level, Littles has initiated a Karma Kuties
contest (details

BSL speaks with Karma Kidz creator BASMATIE LITTLES about the meaning behind the
name of her company and what challenges she face as a female entrepreneur.

BSL When did your interest in fashion begin?
BASMATIE Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a passion for fashion. My mom told
me stories of how she remembered me walking around the house with her high-heeled shoes
on and sneaking on her makeup at the age of 4 yrs old. She said how tired she was from
doing laundry, as I would change my clothes 4-5 times per day and would model in front of the
mirror. Ever since then, she knew I would be part of the fashion world.

BSL Did you attend fashion school?
BASMATIE I graduated from the High School of Fashion Industries and attended the Fashion
Institute of Technology in New York City. I have interned at several fashion showrooms as a
Buyer's Assistant, as well as working in numerous fashion shows dressing fashion models in
New York City.

BSL What prompted you to start your own business?
BASMATIE I got involved in every other business than my calling. I was not passionate about
any of those businesses, therefore I lost interest.  I felt as if I was going in circles.  I felt as if I
was in a maze that had no exit and every turn I made, I could not get out.  I just saw dollar signs
and saw how other people were making lots of money, so why not give it a try. I made a list of
everything that I was passionate about, and that was when I finally found my calling, and went
down the path of my success.I have always envisioned my own clothing line, therefore my
vision for Karma Kidz became my dream come true. My son is my inspiration behind
designing a children's clothing line.
