KEVIN HART: FUNNY THINGS
COME IN SMALL PACKAGES

The comedian talks to BSL about being an actor in
Hollywood and the craziest thing that has happened
to him while on stage
(February 1) Widely recognized in Black cinema as the short guy from Soul Plane,
actor/comedian Kevin Hart still continues to stand tall regardless of his naysayers. Hailing
from “the City of Brotherly Love,” he hit the comedy stage and has been hooked ever since.

At the age of 23, he starred, wrote and executive-produced his own sitcom on ABC,
The
Big House
, based off his own personal life. Although short-lived, Hart has continued to stay
afloat despite the odds stacked against him. Since debuting in Hollywood, he has
appeared in numerous films such as
Paper Soldiers, Death of a Dynasty, Scary Movie 3 &
4, In the Mix, Along Came Polly, The 40 Year Virgin, The Last Stand and several films
coming up in 2008 including his next role in
Fool’s Gold. Since his initial departure from the
small screen, he has returned to make guest appearances in
Barbershop, Love, Inc and
recently a host of the MTV star-studded competition show,
Celebrity Rap Superstar.

While on his way to work, we spoke to the 5-foot 5 comedic actor about how he stays
grounded, which type of role he would pass on and the single worst moment of his comedy
career.
