KISHA GREEN:
RENAISSANCE WOMAN

The author reveals her
aspirations and the toughest
lesson she had to learn

By Crystal Myrick
(May 26) Kisha Green is a self-published author, radio talk show host, publisher, promoter and
mother. With six published titles to her name released through her own publishing company,
DivaBooksInc, the modern-day Renaissance woman has more than enough on her plate.

I met Kisha via Myspace a little over a year ago. She was set to release her debut novel,
And Even If I
Did
and working on several others. She had yet launched The Write Vibe and had begun writing books
reviews on
MahoganyButterfly.com. And she hasn't slowed down yet.

TheBlackSpotlight.com (BSL) speaks with the Jersey diva about her early beginnings into a writing
career and how she stays on her literary hustle.

BSL What sparked your interest in writing?
Kisha Well, I am an avid reader so one day I decided that I too could do it. I had been writing in the
sense of keeping journals. Since I was eleven but it wasn’t until 2000 when I decided to really try my
hand at writing a complete novel.

BSL What motivates and inspires you to write?
Kisha Life experiences whether they are my own or people that I know …all it takes is that “one”
experience and it’s a story just waiting to be told.

BSL What was that deciding factor for you to pursue a career in writing?
Kisha Never had to decide, I knew I wanted to become an author and worked to save my money so
that my dream could eventually become my reality. I knew it was going to take a lot of hard work and
determination but I was up for the challenge.

BSL Walk me through your work day, writing schedule and all.
Kisha Ok, well I work full time as a Medical Assistant so after that  job is complete I come home, do the
mommy thing and once the kids are fed, bathed and in the bed then I return emails, read books for my
books reviews and interviews and update my websites as need be.
