BSL I have been hearing so much about WAGFEST. Tell me, what exactly is WAGFEST?
Kisha Oh my God! I am so glad you asked! Wagfest is the idea of my very dear friend and
author Kerry E Wagner. It is a
litertainment conference for self published authors and his main
goal is to promote self efficiency and resourcefulness and make sure that authors are educated
on the sport of this industry we call literary. I came across Kerry and his vision back in 2007 and
it was one that I deeply admired and I didn’t have to think twice about being associated with him
or WAGFEST. Since then, my affiliation as well as others has been outstanding and we have
been able to accomplish everything we would have been waiting on them not to do! So as Kerry
says “You pay for what you don’t know in life!”

BSL You were recently nominated for a Self-Publisher of the Year Award. What does it mean for
you to be recognized so early in your career and what went through your mind when you found
out about it?
Kisha First, I didn’t even know I was nominated and secondly I was truly humbled to be
recognized by my peers for all of my work and dedication. I am deeply appreciative of the
nomination and it made me work hard and push harder because this is just the beginning and I
am not done yet!

BSL How do you believe your writing career would be different if you had decided to pursue a
traditional publisher instead of going the self-publishing route?
Kisha It really would not be any different because I am a vocal person and I know what I want so
it would simply mean me letting my publisher know that I intend to put in the hard work but they
must match my drive.

BSL Since you have made such a name for yourself as a self-publisher author, if a major
publishing company approached you, would you jump on the opportunity?
Kisha It is really undecided at this point but I do know that if it is meant to be it will be and with
that I will leave it alone

BSL What is something that you had to learn on your own as author that you wish someone had
warned you about?
Kisha You must make sure the people in your corner truly support you and your endeavors.

BSL Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Kisha Oprah’s couch and taking over Literary Hollywood because you know I am kind of a big
deal! I will still be an author, publisher and talk show host but just on a nationwide level!

BSL Ok, one last question. Who's getting your vote in November?
Kisha Obama all the way baby!

Thank you KISHA for shining in

INTERVIEW: KISHA GREEN cont...

BSL As a woman of many titles: self-published author, publisher,
radio show host, promoter and so much more, which would you
say is the hardest and why?
Kisha Wow! They all are hard somewhat because I know I am in
the public eye and I know that I want to brand name myself so
people are familiar with me and when they think of literary they
think of me so I have to multi task and keep my name out there
as well as making sure at the end of the day when I remove the
lip-gloss and tie my hair up and look in the mirror I am completely
satisfied with myself.
