THE YEAR OF THE TELL-ALL

Shh...I hear someone's star falling
(April 24) You know how the saying goes: What’s done in the dark, eventually comes to the
light
. Based on the number of tell-all releases set to be released within the next year, there is
a lot that shining in the spotlight now.

This popular trend in the literary world got the pen rolling in 2005 when former video girl,
Karrine Steffans utilized her loose lips to become a NY Times Best-Selling author with
Confessions of A Video Vixen. Since her “cautionary tale” of sexing and telling on the hottest
black men in music, sports and film hit the bookshelves, other first-time authors decided to
jump on the lucrative bandwagon.

Carmen Bryan, who served as rap mogul, Jay-Z’s jump-off and Nas’ baby mama, released
her own tell-all and revealed her most intimate moments with the two, contributing to the rival
between the two lyricists. Last year, New York radio personality, Miss Jones penned her own
encounters, one included rap star Busta Rhymes.

This year’s list of tell-all releases include, down-low brothers, scandalous icons and fantasies
lived out with the Hollywood and music most elite.
And that’s all in one book!
Which books will you be adding to your
collection?
