kicked in the theaters?
(March 16) With a weekend full of hard impact fights and futuristic action, it was the
kid-friendly Horton Hears A Who! that trampled the competition in this weekend's Box
Office with a whooping $45.1M, making it the second highest debut of the year. (Cloverfield
debuted with $46.1M on 1/18/08).
Sliding into #2 was last weekend's topper, 10,000 B.C. with $16.4M (gross: $61.2M). The
#3 film of the weekend belonged to the action-packed fight film, Never Back Down starring
the physique-ly blessed Djimon Hounsou, bringing in $8.61M.
Disney's brainchild, College Road Trip has dropped to #4 and swiped up $7.89M (gross:
$24.3M). Political thriller, Vantage Point rounds out the top 5 with $5.4M (gross: $59.2M).
