#1 IN THE BOX OFFICE?
Did Martin Lawrence get a number one hit?
(March 9) Disney's family-favored film, College Road Trip starring comedian gone good
Martin Lawrence and their favorite $400M princess, Raven Symone had all the elements to
be #1but instead had to settle for second place, drawing in $14M this weekend.
Last month, Lawrence's Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins also debuted at #2 but brought in
slightly more at $16.2M.
The #1 slot belongs to the prehistoric epic film, 10,000BC debuting with $35.7M.
Last weekend's #2 film, Vantage Point starring Forest Whitaker, Zoe Saldana and Richard
T. Jones dropped down a notch to #3 but brought a solid $7.5M but since its debut, has
grossed $51.7M.
B-ball flick, Semi Pro starring Andre Benjamin, Will Ferrel and Woody Harrelson has
plummeted from #1 to #4 bringing in $5.75 this weekend for a total of $24.7M.
The Bank Job starring action star Jason Statham came in at #5 with $5.71M.
Samuel L. Jackson's sci-fi flick, Jumper is hanging in there at #8 bringing in $3.75M this
weekend and has brought in $72.5M since its theatrical debut on Valentine's Day.
