Weekend Box Office Results 5/11
Iron Man (Paramount)
(May 11) As many expected, comic book hero turned movie blockbuster, Iron Man
remained at #1 for the second week in a row, bringing in $50.5M this weekend and $177
domestically.
Iron Man which stars actors Robert Downey Jr and the Academy award
nominated Terrence Howard is also a fan favorite overseas already grossing $274M
worldwide.

Coming in at a not even close #2 is the weekend newcomer,
Speed Racer bringing in
$20.2M. It came in neck and neck with
Punk'd mastermind Ashton Kutcher and Charlie's
Angels
star Cameron Diaz's new comedic flick, What Happens in Vegas which also
premiered this week and brought in $20M and secured #3 spot.

In the #4 slot bringing in $7.6M was romantic comedy,
Made of Honor starring Grey's
Anatomy
star Patrick Dempsey. It has grossed $26.3M since its opening last week.
Rounding out the top 5 was the once Box Office topper
Baby Mama starring Tina Fey and
the real life pregnant Amy Poehler. Together they brought in $5.77M and grossed $40.4M.
