(April 16) Historically known as the liveliest hype man of all time but in recent years, Flavor
Flav has traded his socially conscience views for a few bucks and perceived to the public as
the face of idiotic unexplainable behavior.
Following three stints as the lead man in the infamous reality show, Flavor of Love, Flavor
Flav makes a return to television in a sitcom called Under One Roof. The show stars Mr.
Eccentric and former One on One star, Kelly Perine.
Flavor Flav stars as Calvester Hill, an ex-con and seen flaunting overly exaggerated jewelry.
Sound familiar? After his term behind bars, he moves in with his wealthy brother (Perine)
and his family.
Under One Roof will be one of the few shows airing that has an African American in a lead
role. When it comes to sitcoms or any type of show, Blacks are extremely limited when it
pertains to shows that feature an all (or nearly all) Black cast. Two months ago, the eight-year
running of Girlfriends came to an abrupt halt.
The only shows remaining are The Game and Everybody Hates Chris, both on the CW
network.
Under One Roof premieres tonight and of course, check your local listings.
