positive "feedback"
(February 25) Coinciding with the release of her upcoming album, MTV named Janet
Jackson
Artist of the Week.

Starting today, Jackson will appear in various skits making fun of MTV's most popular reality
shows to promote her tenth career album,
Discipline that will hit the shelves tomorrow.
Prepare to see her parodies
Real World, My Sweet Sixteen and a very hilarious Making the
Band
where she emulates hip hop mogul, Diddy.

Previous artists to be given the "honor" have included, Alicia Keys, Common, Nelly Furtado
and Kenna.

Jackson was recently awarded Best Actress for her role in the Tyler Perry film,
Why Did I Get
Married
by the NAACP. Her current promotional single, Luv has, in two weeks, climbed from
the number 62 slot to 45 on the Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs chart.

Two weeks ago, her big brother, Michael re-released his record-breaking album,
Thriller for
its 25th Anniversary.

Janet is scheduled to appear on BET's
106 N Park tomorrow and on Tuesday, Good
Morning America
and MTV's Total Request Live.
