Oscar Winner Makes Her Way To the Studio

(April 21) When Jennifer Hudson was wrongfully voted off popular talent show,
American Idol, she as well as her die-hard fans that tuned in each week knew that she
would be shining in the spotlight once again.
Fast forward to 2008, Hudson now shelves several awards including the highest honor
for any actor, an Academy Award for her debut theatrical role in Dreamgirls as Effie
White.
Many of her supporters and critics wondered when the album will follow. A few singles
leaked on the Net but it was her feature in R&B singer/songwriter NeYo's Leaving
Tonight that captured our attention again.
The natural born singer finally has a date for her long awaited album. Set to be released
through J Records on September 30, she is rumored to be reuniting with NeYo to work
on her tracks. The project is still untitled.
Since her Oscar win, Hudson has not slowed down. She has added four more movies
to her resume: Winged Creatures (w/Forest Whitaker); Sex and the City: The Movie;
The Secret Lives of Bees (w/ Queen Latifah & Alicia Keys) and The Family That
Preys (w/ Alfre Woodard & Sanaa Lathan).
