mirrored ball
(May 21) After 13 weeks of mastering new styles of dance that she was to make
her own,Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi alongside her dance partner,
Mark Balls took home the coveted mirrorball.
Since Yamaguchi traded in her skates for stilettos on the first episode of this
year's Dancing with the Stars, the judges, her competitors and her fans in her
current homeplace of Raleigh knew she was going to take home the prize. She
dazzled the crowd with her amazing performances week after week.
During the course of the competition, she beat out stars such as NFLer Jason
Taylor, R&B singer Mario and actors Cristian de la Fuente to become only the
second woman to win on Dancing With the Stars in its six season run.
R&B artist Usher performed his new single, Love in This Club during the
season finale.
