(April 24) Recently snagging her eighteenth #1 single, singer/songwriter Mariah Carey
lands her sixth #1 album, E=MC2 on the Billboard 200.
In its first week, she sold 463,000 copies, the highest of her career. Her last album,
The Emancipation of Mimi, which was considered her comeback effort, sold 404,000
units in its debut week.
Her first single from E=MC2, Touch My Body peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100
but currently sits at #5. Her latest single, Bye Bye is at #23.
UK import Leona Lewis who has been compared to Carey and Whitney Houston
slipped to #2.
