(May 5) Mariah Carey has had a great year so far. She has eighteen #1 hits, the
most of any female artist, the #1 album in the country for the second week in a row
and a film coming out later this year. The lovely songbird is a mainstay in
entertainment news as of late but it is not for her singing abilities.
Rumors have been circulating on the Net that she not only gave actor/rapper Nick
Cannon permission to "touch her body" but she may now also be his Mrs.
The rumors went to a whole new level when the songstress was proudly rocking a
17-caret pink diamond engagement ring at the Tribeca Film Festival last week. It is
being reported that the couple of two months exchanged wedding vows in the
Bahamas earlier last week.
Associates close to Cannon are saying that he confirmed with them that the rumors
were indeed true and that there is a marriage license to prove it.
Cannon who is best known for his lead role in Drumline will appear alongside Carey
in her next music video for Bye Bye. In the past, he has been linked to singer
Christina Milan, socialite Kim Kardashian and Victoria's Secret model, Selita
Ebanks, who he was engaged to last year.
If they are in fact married, this will be Carey's second and Cannon's first
Representatives for both Carey and Cannon are being tight-lipped about the rumors.
