The songbird's newest single
breaks records
(April 3) A congratulations is in order for R&B songstress Mariah Carey after securing her
18th #1 hit this week. Her latest single, Touch My Body from her upcoming album,
E=MC2 has toppled the Billboard charts and has placed her in second place right
underneath the legendary Beatles with their twenty #1 hits.
Originally the 38- year old Honey singer was tied with the late Elvis Presley with
seventeen but has bumped him into third.
Carey made possibly the biggest comeback of anyone in the music industry. After taking
a much needed break, Carey returned in 2005 with her instant hit album, Emancipation of
Mimi. The multi-platinum album garnered her various music awards including Grammys
and American Music Awards and her rightful spot back at the top.
E=MC2 hits stores April 15th.
