R&B ARTIST MARIO
TO JOIN DANCING
WITH THE STARS

Step aside Chris Brown
(February 20) Best known for his singing ability rather than his Foxtrot, R&B singer, Mario
will appear in the sixth season of the popular ABC reality show,
Dancing with the Stars.

Pairing with dancer, Karina Smirnoff, the crooner will be required to perform various dance
styles and the length of the stay on the show will be determined by the viewers at home
voting each week.

Other celebrities who will be twirling on their toes includes, NFLer Jason Taylor, magician
Penn Jillettte,
American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth and Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi
Yamaguchi.

Mario stepped on the scene in 2002 with his cover of the Biz Markie classic,
Just a Friend.
His debut self-titled album reached gold status. Two years later, he ditched the cornrows
and released
Turning Point, in which he tackled more mature topics and in return, went
double platinum.

Last December, he released
Go, his third album under J Records with leading singles,
How Do I Breathe and Crying Out For Me.

He has also had a taste of Hollywood having appeared in the dance film,
Step Up and in
the dramatic
Freedom Writers.

Vivica Fox, Percy "Master P" Miller, Laila Ali, Emmitt Smith, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown
and Monique Coleman are other performers who have also been featured on the show.

Dancing With the Stars will sashay into your living room March 17th at 8PM EST.
