Empowered...
(March 27) For the last fourteen years, the Women's Empowerment Expo governed by Radio
One has saluted National Women History Month by gathering thousands of the Triangle's
hardest working women and encouraging networking opportunities, business exposure all
while being informed and entertained by local and national experts and talents.
In the past, attendees have flocked to the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC to hear several
prominent African American women speak, including Susan L. Taylor, Phylicia Rashaad,
Queen Latifah, Natalie Cole and many more. This year, the keynote speaker will be none
other than the legendary singer Patti Labelle.
The event has always provided the hottest stars in the music industry and this year will not be
any different. Artists scheduled to perform are:

Georgia Mass Choir
Jeff Majors
For the first time this year, Radio One will be adding three additional areas of interest:
Wedding Pavilion, the Literary Lounge and the Men's Lounge and the popular fashion show
will return for its second year.
Individuals are also welcomed to partake in the dozens of seminars available ranging in
topics from finance, relationships and health. Celebrity Fit Club judge and leader of the 50
Million Pound Weight Loss Challenge Dr. Ian Smith will be in attendance at the VIP
Breakfast.
