SIDE WITH OBAMA
Two more side with the Democratic
candidate
(June 18) It looks like more public figures on jumping on the Obama
bandwagon even if they were fighting for the opposite side.
Gen. Colin Powell, former Republican Secretary of State under the Bush
administration and former Clinton vice president Al Gore have
announced their support for the Democratic Presidential candidate,
Barack Obama.
Powell has stated that the economical state of the country is in need of a
change and believes Obama is the qualified candidate to handles it.
Gore who has been quiet up until this point about who would get his vote
in November has sided with the former Illinois senator also believing that
he is the one who will turn this country around.
Other figure heads who have pledged their support to Obama includes
former President, Jimmy Carter, Sen. Ted Kennedy and
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who was originally a Clinton supporter.
Obama supporters are anxiously awaiting his final decision for his
running mate in this historic election.
