The soulful songbird is back

(March 4) After a three-year hiatus, Syleena Johnson is back!
The Chicago native will be releasing her fourth album, Labor Pains but her first album under
her own imprint, Aneelys Records through Federal/Universal Music Group. Johnson
explains the reason behind her title name:
I thought Chapter IV: Labor Pains, was the perfect name for this album because I gave
birth to my first child last year which was a difficult delivery for me. It's about struggle to
reap the greatest reward.
The album's first single, Shoo Fly, a look at baby mama drama. She is currently working
with a physical trainer in preparation for her mini-tour this summer.
Johnson made her musical debut in 2001 and in the past, has collaborated with Busta
Rhymes, Fabolous, Cam'ron and Kanye West. The Grammy-nominated artist has held
several spots on the charts with singles, I Am Your Woman, Guess What, Tonight I'm
Gonna Let Go & Hypnotic.
Chapter IV: Labor Pains will be released on September 2nd, Johnson's birthday.
