The Oscar-nominated actor hustles his
way into the music industry
(March 14) Home to musical artists Mariah Carey and Beyonce, actor Terrence
Howard has become the latest addition to Columbia Records.  

Howard, in the past has stated that his role as a pimp turned rap artist in
Hustle N Flow
was very different from him because he personally, is not a fan of rap music. The
Oscar-nominated actor describes his upcoming album of R&B and Spanish guitar as
"urban country."

The project is called,
Terrence Howard Presents Me and the Band of Kings but the
album is still untitled. The project is slated for a fall release.

Howard is currently performing on-stage in the Broadway revival of
Cat on a Hot Tin
Roof
and is set to appear in the comic book hero film, Iron Man this summer. He also
appear next year in
The Crusaders as the late Thurgood Marshall.
