(May 27) Much has happened to Usher since his multi-platinum hit album, Confessions.
Just within the past couple of years, he got involved in a very controversial relationship with
his stylist, Tameka Foster, got married and she gave birth to his first-born, Usher Raymond
IV which the couple plans to reveal his first photos in Essence Magazine.
Now four years after the release of Confessions, Usher is back with his fifth studio album,
Here I Stand. His lead single, Love In This Club reached #1 on the charts and #1 in the
hearts of his loyal fans. Usher has been heavily promoting his album, appearing everywhere
from Saturday Night Live to Dancing With the Stars to a quickie interview on the Ellen
Degeneres Show.
With his new album, Usher is toning it down and revealing that he is indeed a grown man in
love (can't believe he's almost 30) but can still charm a woman the pants off a woman with
tracks like Trading Places and Love You Gently.
But has Usher waited too long for this release? Leaked singles were being slinged on the
Net and Here I Stand was originally set for release last year. Will his fans invade the music
stores demanding his LP much like they did for Confessions?
The question is, will Usher continue to stand or will he fall? From the snippets, I have heard
thus far, I believe he will stand just for a little while longer.
